Starting out in 2018, we wanted to build something different. Not another faceless firm, but a place where you actually understand your money and feel confident about decisions.

Born from frustration with complicated jargon

Back in early 2018, the three of us sat in a cramped office space in Islington, frustrated by how the industry talked down to people. Everything was either too technical or weirdly patronising. We figured there had to be a better way.

So we started mereloevira with a simple idea: explain finances like you would to a mate over coffee. No waffle about "wealth optimisation synergies" or whatever nonsense gets thrown around. Just straight talk about your actual situation and realistic options.

Seven years later, we've worked with over 300 individuals and small businesses across London. Some are sorting out their first mortgage. Others are planning retirement. A few just want to stop worrying about money every Sunday night.

What actually matters to us

These aren't corporate values stuck on a wall. They're how we work every day with real people.

No jargon tolerance

If we catch ourselves using terms like "portfolio rebalancing" without explaining what that actually means, we start over. Your gran should be able to understand our advice.

A spreadsheet doesn't know you're saving for your daughter's university or that you hate dealing with paperwork. We factor in the messy human bits that financial models ignore.

Honest about limits

Sometimes the best advice is "wait six months" or "this isn't worth the hassle." We won't push products just because they exist. If something doesn't fit, we'll say so.

We look at your current situation properly. Then we put together options in plain language. Usually takes about a week, depending on complexity.

Once you've decided on a direction, we help with the paperwork and follow-through. Then regular check-ins to adjust as life changes. Because it always does.
